We assist law enforcement by delivering the evidence that turns investigations into convictions against human traffickers.
On September 4, 2025, a months-long investigation culminated in a successful coordinated operation, dismantling a major human trafficking ring in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Children's International Rescue Foundation operators, working directly on the ground alongside Colombian National Police Detectives, executed the operation, resulting in multiple arrests for aggravated human trafficking of minors.

CIRF Operators and Colombian National Police Detectives working in unison as a taskforce dismantled the sophisticated organized crime group known as "The Colony," which operated across three public parks and six surrounding establishments, including hotels and residences, in a sprawling human trafficking network. The syndicate faces charges of Aggravated Trafficking in Persons and Narcotics distribution, with allegations centering on the exploitation of vulnerable young women, adolescents, and children, including members of the LGBTQI+ community.
The Colony is accused of recruiting, sheltering, transporting, and exploiting both national and foreign victims, preying on their economic hardship and unemployment. The group allegedly provided false identity documents to minors and vulnerable individuals in exchange for payment, enabling them to evade law enforcement while profiting from their sexual exploitation. This illicit operation involved third-party facilitation and other criminal activities. 22 young men and women were rescued from the organization and are receiving aftercare services in collaboration with Libertas International.
Following an extensive 10 month investigation, law enforcement conducted coordinated raids across the identified locations, apprehending key members of the organization.
"This is a significant step in dismantling a network that thrived on exploiting the most vulnerable in our communities," said a spokesperson for the task force leading the operation.
