C.I.R.F. Operators played a critical role in dismantling a transnational criminal organization trafficking children in partnership with Detective Reyes of the Colombian National Police and National Prosecutors. C.I.R.F. Operators spent many hours undercover gathering intelligence and evidence to effect these rescues and bring their traffickers to justice. Detective Reyes was awarded "best case of the year" after a board of officials reviewed several hundred criminal cases across Colombia. The award attracted national media attention. This case exhibits strong evidence of the effective partnership between Children's International Rescue Foundation and the Colombian National Police to synergize their efforts against criminal elements targeting children.
